Stop Losing Subscription Revenue to Failed Payments — Now You Can Retry Manually
Every subscription business deals with failed payments. A card expires, a bank declines a charge, or a customer's account runs short — and suddenly a renewal that should have happened automatically is sitting in a limbo state with no clear path forward.
Until now, once automatic retries were exhausted, recovering that revenue meant chasing customers down manually, working around the platform, or watching the subscription quietly lapse. That changes today.
Manual Payment Retry Is Now Built In
Attractzen's Payments module now gives you a direct way to recover failed subscription payments without leaving the platform. Any subscription with an Unpaid or Past Due status can be acted on immediately from the Subscription Details page — no workarounds, no third-party tools needed.
This feature is available for subscriptions processed through NMI, Authorize.Net, Square, and Mercado Pago.
How the Manual Retry Flow Works
Navigate to Payments → Subscriptions and open any subscription showing an unpaid or past due status. From there, you have full control over the recovery process:
- Retry the oldest unpaid payment using the customer's saved card — or charge a brand-new card they provide
- Set the new card as the subscription's default payment method going forward
- Attempt a retry up to three times with the same card before a cool-down applies
- After three unsuccessful attempts with a card, a 24-hour cool-down period begins before that card can be tried again
- Clear, localized messaging in the UI tells you exactly when a retry is available so there's no guesswork
Why This Matters for Your Business
Failed payments are one of the leading causes of involuntary churn — customers who didn't choose to cancel but whose subscriptions lapsed because a payment couldn't be collected. With manual retry now built directly into Attractzen, your team has a faster, more controlled way to recover that revenue before the relationship is lost.
Rather than relying entirely on automated retry schedules, you can step in with a phone call, update the customer's card, and collect payment all from a single workflow. That's the kind of operational tightness that separates businesses that grow recurring revenue from those that leak it.
What's Coming Next
This is the first step in a broader effort to make subscription payment recovery more seamless across all supported payment providers. Expect continued improvements as more tools are added to help you manage and reduce subscription churn from inside Attractzen.
