- User access is off by default for sub-account users and admins who weren't already using AI Studio in Labs. This is intentional — it gives account owners control over who has access before they start building.
- Users who already had AI Studio access through Labs retain their access automatically. Nothing changes for them.
- Granting access is quick: Navigate to Configure inside AI Studio, search for or select the team members you want to enable, and confirm. Setup typically completes within a few minutes, and those users can open AI Studio immediately after.
- A home banner notification appears in sub-accounts where users still need access configured, so you'll know exactly where to take action.
Who Sees the Access Banner?
The banner notifying you that users need AI Studio access is visible to agency owners, admins, and agency users with write access. Sub-account users and read-only agency users will not see the banner — they'll simply get access once it's granted to them.
